The courses present both the major traditions of the regions studied and, in most cases, their modern developments. All courses consist of language, literature, history and culture, and there are a wide range of options in such fields as art and archaeology, philosophy, history, literature, religion and modern social studies.

University of Jagiellonian in Krakow is the only University in Poland and one of two Turkish Center in Europe with its own series of publications. The Department cooperates with many foreign research centers (eg. France, Netherland, Germany, Russia, United States, Switzerland, Turkey and Britain).
